Entry:7 "They shall beat their swords into plowshares ". . . and their tear gas canister shall become a vase for flowers.
Today we were in the village of Bil'in where there is a weekly demonstration against the occupation and the separation wall. The separation wall went through this farming village cutting off the villagers from their land. Demonstrations and international supportwere successful in pressuring the military government to move the wall 500 meters back. But they still lost land, their olive trees were uprooted and the settlements (mostly people from New York and France) continue to grow. The demonstrations are costly too. One person was killed when hit by a tear gas canister and many have been wounded.
