It is all part of the hustle and bustle of a big city.
What is often overlooked are some of our youngest citizens. Their presence is not one of the genres that typifies a workspace.
Not in Albany.
Just down the block from First Church is a childcare center where the main patrons are under-aged, not wearing business casual and are asked to take naps as part of their daily routine.
We set up a "field-trip" for the Busy Bee class to come visit the "Park and Play" Clee Park piano on a beautiful Thursday in July.
What the children did was completely natural -- PLAY the piano. They discovered the sound that comes from pushing down on the black and white keys, they climbed up on the piano bench, they picked up the chalk and added their own personal marks to the chalkboard sides, they spent a happy time just being kids, together.
What they added to the city was the singular joy of childhood in the freshness of a busy downtown workday.
