Visiting the Heifer Project Farm in Massachusetts Sep 19, 2009
The Heifer Project collects
money to help farmers in underdeveloped countries by donating animals.
The first offspring is given by the recipient to a neighboring
farmer.
"Pass on the Gift"
We learned the 7 Ms of benefits from animal farming:
meat, milk, material (for clothing), money, manure, muscle (animal power) and motivation.
Afterwards we helped with milking goats, moving cows from one pasture to another and fed a camel and a pig.www. heifer.org ![]() Camp Fowler During the summer kids can stay a week at Camp Fowler in the Adirondacks. During the mornings there are Bible based learning experiences, in the afternoon there is swimming, canoeing, hiking etc. and at night it is time to play games and sing songs around the campfire. ![]() Bi-annual Senior Youth Mission Trip 2008 Machias, Maine The Machias, ME work camp
experience introduced us to a whole new group of people, through our
residents and the other campers. Groups came from all over the country
to help rebuild homes and get closer to God. We learned how to use
power tools and made amazing friends. Definitely an unforgettable
experience.
